Do you come to my home?

Yes. Regular service is available in Bancroft, Apsley, Gilmour, Coe Hill, and Maynooth. Addresses outside these communities are reviewed before an appointment is confirmed.

Who will come to my home?

Your visit confirmation identifies the assigned technician before the appointment is confirmed. Service may be provided by Sam or by an authorized contract technician working on behalf of Bancroft Home Tech.

How much does it cost?

$95/hour plus mileage and HST. There is a 1-hour minimum, then time is billed in 15-minute increments.

Do you help seniors?

Yes. Patient, plain-English tutoring and everyday tech help are a core part of the service.

Can someone book for a parent or family member?

Yes. Use your contact details and explain in the request who needs help and what is not working.

Do you fix printers?

Yes. Printer setup, wireless printing issues, scanner help, and basic troubleshooting are common visit types.

Do you help with Wi-Fi or Starlink?

Yes. Router, modem, weak Wi-Fi, device connection, and Starlink setup or troubleshooting help is available.

Do you work on security cameras or smart home devices?

Yes. Exterior and height work is reviewed before booking. If safe completion requires a second person, the additional cost is provided before the appointment is confirmed.

Do you repair laptop screens?

Yes, after Bancroft Home Tech confirms that the replacement screen matches the device and that the repair is suitable for service in your home. Contact the business with the device model before purchasing a screen.

Do you repair phone screens?

Phone screen repair is considered only when you provide a certified replacement part. Bancroft Home Tech must confirm the part and the repair before an appointment is booked.

Do you recover lost files?

Basic recovery attempts are available, but no data is guaranteed. Physically damaged drives and work that requires advanced recovery equipment are referred to a specialist.

Do you take devices off-site?

No. Your device stays in your home throughout the visit.

Do I need to share my passwords?

No. You enter your own passwords when needed. Passwords are not requested or stored.

What areas do you serve?

The regular service area includes Bancroft, Apsley, Gilmour, Coe Hill, and Maynooth. Other addresses are reviewed individually. Peterborough is outside the regular service area.

What should I have ready before the visit?

Have the device, charger, accessories, internet equipment, purchased parts, and access to the accounts used with the device ready when they are available.

Can you help me check if something is a scam?

Yes. Suspicious emails, popups, messages, and account concerns can be reviewed, with practical next steps explained clearly.

Does sending the form confirm my appointment?

No. The form sends Bancroft Home Tech the details needed to review your request. The business will call or text to confirm the assigned technician, appointment window, service address, mileage estimate, approved work, billing rate, and any known extra costs before travel begins. No payment is collected online.
